Jason Roger Phillips was born and raised in the West Indies. He briefly migrated to Canada before settling in Sydney, Australia. His first novel The Ice Factory was published in 2011, followed by The Silver is Mine (2016) and Terra Nulla (2023). He has also written and directed several independent short films at Eterna Films.
